Event Operations Manager (80-100%)

Your mission

At Slackline Events, we don't seek to "manage clients." We seek to execute events in a clean, predictable, and scalable manner:

  • maximum reliability

  • minimum complexity

  • strict margin control

Project management

  • Qualify requests, frame briefs, create production plans (timelines, budgets, checklists).

  • Coordinate logistics (scheduling, artists, travel, accommodation)

  • Ensure customer communication within the defined scope of the offer

  • Apply and enforce existing processes

  • Coordinate with:

    • the sales team

    • the technical manager (safety/feasibility)

      • Technical and security decisions are made by a dedicated technical manager.

  • Supervise on-site logistics (setup, rehearsals, show, dismantling)

  • Ensure that each event is delivered:

    • in the scope sold

    • on schedule

    • with the expected margin

  • Meeting clients in the field and representing the company

This position does NOT involve:

  • Security decisions

  • The creation of new offers or tailor-made shows

  • The creative reinvention of each project

  • The "we'll work something out" or the out-of-scope customer

  • Rescuing poorly marketed projects

  • Unregulated overtime

How performance is measured (KPIs)

This role is guided by clear and precise indicators.

Key KPIs:

  • Number of hours per event

    • We do not measure performance by the number of hours worked,
but by the quality, reliability, and efficiency of execution.

  • Compliance with processes

  • Compliance with planned margins

  • Quality and clarity of customer communication

Your profile

  • You like things to be structured and predictable.

  • You are comfortable with checklists, processes, and tools.

  • You prefer to apply a standard rather than improvise.

  • You know how to say "it's not included" in a professional manner.

  • You anticipate problems instead of dealing with them in an emergency.

  • You are comfortable with quantifiable and measurable objectives.

  • You appreciate it when "everything goes smoothly."

In our company, a successful event is a tedious event to organize.

This role is not for you if:

  • Do you like constant improvisation?

  • You consider that "events are often chaotic."

  • You need creative freedom on every project.

  • You prioritize customer relations at the expense of the framework.

Desired experience

  • Production/Operations

  • Logistics or coordination

  • Experience in event management is a plus.

  • Sensitivity to operational and margin issues is essential.

  • Languages: fluent English + French or German (ideally both).

  • Sometimes available in the evenings/weekends and for short trips

  • Bonus: rigging/safety exposure (plan reading, technical vocabulary)

Remuneration

Compensation depends on profile and experience, and reflects the role's responsibility in controlling margins and the scalability of the business.
