Highline show and slackline initiations at the Fête des familles in Verbier

On August 3, Slackline Events was in Verbier for the Fête des familles organized by Téléverbier SA. In this grandiose alpine setting, over 1000 spectators thrilled to acrobatic highline shows and discovered slackline thanks to initiation workshops led by Slackline Events.

Event objectives

Téléverbier SA wanted to build customer loyalty by offering an original and spectacular event. The idea was to offer a convivial, family-friendly experience, while enhancing the resort's dynamic image.

Background & challenges

Verbier, in the heart of the Valais, is already renowned for its breathtaking scenery and outdoor activities. The challenge was to come up with an innovative, safe event that would surprise and delight children and parents alike.

Slackline Events had to install a self-contained highline on a 10-meter high turret, ensuring smooth logistics despite the crowds and safety constraints.

Our solution: installation and operation

  • Highline: stand-alone installation by the Slackline Events team, mounted on a specially prepared turret.

  • Acrobatic shows: The artist presented three 15-minute performances, alternating freestyle, aerial acrobatics and musical passages.

  • Original interaction: during the second show, the audience could ask questions live to the artist... suspended in mid-air.

  • Introductory workshops: the slackline events team led young and old through a balancing act to discover slacklining in complete safety.

  1. Choose a visible, symbolic location to maximize visual impact.

  2. Combine a strong show (e.g. highline) with a participatory activity (initiations).

  3. Include a sound system to enhance immersion.

  4. Offer a safe, yet fun, family-friendly environment.

  5. Think about media coverage: photos, videos and press relays.
